Mercedes-Benz E-Class Named 2017 World Luxury Car of the Year

What earns a luxury car the distinction of being world-renowned? Ground-breaking technology, style, and performance epitomized by the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. At the New York International Auto Show on April 12, the World Car Awards named the E-Class 2017’s World Luxury Car of the Year.

The World Car Awards are deliberated upon every year by a committee of astute automotive journalists from around the world with far-reaching prestige, extensive expertise, and a dedicated media following. It should come as no surprise that this year is not the first World Luxury Car win for Mercedes-Benz—the S-Class Coupe and the S-Class Sedan earned the distinction in 2015 and 2014, respectively. Mercedes-Benz also made World Car history in 2015 with a triple-category win for World Car of the Year (C-Class), World Luxury Car (S-Class Coupe), and World Performance Car (AMG® GTS).
